D. Leon Frederick

D. Leon Frederick, 74, of Falls City, NE, passed away April 24, 2024 at Falls City. He was born November 18, 1949 at Falls City to David John and Mildred (Hollens) Frederick

He married Carol Merz on August 30, 1969 at Rulo. She passed away March 3, 2022.

Leon was raised at Falls City and graduated Sacred Heart High School in 1968. He then enlisted in the Missouri Air National Guard and started farming with his father. He farmed and raised livestock his whole life. He loved making road trips to pick up auction finds with Willow as co-pilot, hosting shrimp boils to enjoy time with friends and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Leon is survived by his children, Amy Voltmer and her husband Andy of Mound City, MO, Gary  and his special friend Susanna of Falls City, Roger and his wife Laura of Falls City, brother, Steve and his wife Linda of Falls City, fiancé, Carolyn Anderson of Savannah, MO, grandchildren, David (Tabitha) Frederick, Cody (Kelsey) Frederick, Jared (Kaylee Dressler) Frederick, Dylan and Gracie Frederick, Hunter Voltmer, Josh Frederick, Emma Frederick, Brody Voltmer and Morgan Frederick, great-grandchildren, Jenna, Greyson, Faith and Jameson, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Jim Meysenburg as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Fricke Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with family receiving friends following the rosary.
