Arlene Rogers

Arlene Rogers, 92, of Kansas City, MO (formerly of Falls City, NE), passed away April 1, 2017 at Kansas City. She was born May 14, 1924 at Stella, NE to the late Wesley and Edna (Arington) Curfman.

She married Peter Rogers at Hiawatha, KS. He passed away October 29, 1988.

Arlene was raised in the Dawson and Stella areas and graduated Dawson High School in 1942. When married the couple established their home in Falls City. She was a homemaker her entire life and when she moved to Pioneer Plaza she attended and enjoyed St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Ladies Coffee on Thursday mornings. She moved to Kansas City in 2011 to be near her daughters. She was a member of First Brethren Church and American Legion Auxiliary #102 of Falls City.

Arlene is survived by her daughters, April Mahoney, Pamela Lange and her husband Steven both of Overland Park, KS, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Fred, Edward and Bob Curfman, sisters, Verna Bauman and Minnie Kuker and a granddaughter, Angela Lange.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Chavanak officiating. Interment will be in Heim Cemetery at Dawson.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
