Barbara J. Walker, 57, of Falls City, NE, passed away January 25, 2015 at Lincoln, NE. She was born June 24, 1957 at Oshkosh, NE to the late Glen and Viola (Chesmore) Atkinson.
On October 1, 1977 she married Jerry W. Walker at Alpaugh, CA
Barbara moved to Alpaugh at the age of twelve and graduated Alpaugh High School in 1976. When married the couple established their home in Alpaugh where she was a teacher’s aide for Alpaugh Public Schools, the couple moved to Fresno, CA where they lived until 1991 when they moved to Falls City and she worked at Falls City Care Center as a nurse’s aide. She also worked at Victory Village until 2007 when she retired due to her health. She was a member of Good News Assembly of God Church.
Barbara is survived by her husband Jerry of Falls City, sisters, Dorothy Ebel of St. Joseph, MO and Shirley Wilson of Arkansas City, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Joseph and Roy Morgan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend John Sipf officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
