Clayton Campbell

Clayton P. Campbell, 73, of Atchison, KS (formerly of Falls City, NE), passed away March 7, 2017 at his residence at Atchison. He was born June 11, 1943 in Falls City. The son of the late Clarence Campbell and Jean Ann Phillips Clark.

He attended Falls City High School where he excelled in Track and Field and also at Football. He worked as a farm hand in the Rulo, NE and Salem, NE areas before moving to Atchison in 1971 to work for Rockwell International. He retired after thirty six years of employment.

Clayton married Becky Wissman in Falls City on May 28, 1963 and they were later divorced. Five sons were born of this union.

Clayton is survived by his sons, James and his wife Wendy, Jeffrey and his wife Shelley both of Atchison, Jason of Dallas, TX, Jeremy of Ft. Worth, TX, Joseph of Atchison, brother, Jim and his wife Karol of Grand Prairie, TX, sisters, Nancy Heiser of Lincoln, NE, Carrie Clark and her partner Tony Legnon of Port Arthur, TX, Tracey Barnes and her husband Joey of Powhattan, KS, step-father, Donald Clark of Falls City, grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Joshua, Jayce, Ethan, Patrick, Hannah, Matthew, Savannah, Jack and Madelyn. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Daniel in infancy.

His funeral will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Zeigler officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

Open viewing will begin on Saturday afternoon at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
