Dallas D. Jaros

Dallas D. Jaros, 81, of Falls City, NE, passed away, surrounded by his family on November 10, 2017 at Falls City. He was born June 8, 1936 at Burchard, NE to Edward and Dora (Buttner) Jaros.

He married Joan B. Kirkendall on December 27, 1954 at Hiawatha, KS

Dallas was raised in Straussville, NE and attended Falls City High School. Following his schooling he helped his father on the family farm. He became an over the road truck driver for Falls City Meat Company and Mickelberry Hams, driving for 45 years, retiring in 2001. Following retirement he worked part time for his son’s trucking company for the next 5 years. He drove a truck over 50 years without an accident or any moving violations, driving in all 48 contiguous states.

Dallas is survived by his wife, Joan B. of Falls City, son, Ed and his wife Deb of Wymore, NE, daughter, Judie Sayer and her husband Steve of Falls City, grandchildren, Joseph, Nathan and Samuel Jaros, Dallas Butrick, Erica and Dan Ferguson, Rhiannon Jackson, seven step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, eighteen step-great-grandchildren and a son-in-law, Bob Schmid of Littleton, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Jorn and a daughter, Vickie Schmid.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Schmid officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
