Donna Rue

Donna Marie (Brackhahn) Rue, 58, died December 22, 2017 at Falls City, Nebraska due to complications from pancreatic cancer.

Donna was born July 8, 1959 to Donald Ford Brackhahn and Roxie Ann (Edgmon) Brackhahn in Wichita, Kansas. Donna spent her childhood in the Wichita area. In 1974 her family moved to Perry, Oklahoma where she lived for a year before moving to Falls City where she lived the remainder of her life. Donna earned her GED in 1979.

Donna was married to Terry Rue November 5, 1977 and divorced November 1, 1978. Donna’s only child, Heather, born October 6, 1978, died from ALS December 15, 2010.

Donna’s hobbies included painting ceramics, reading, and “collecting junk” (knick knacks which she had artfully displayed about her home.) 

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Heather, and several well-loved dogs. She is survived by her brother Jim Brackhahn of Benten, Kansas, three nieces, cousins galore, a smattering of very good friends, and one sweet dog named “Joy”.
