Edwin H. Veigel, 93, of Falls City, NE, passed April 7, 2015 at Falls City. He was born July 31, 1921 at Falls City to the late John and Clara (Meyer) Veigel.
On September 23, 1947 he married Marcille Ernst at Zion United Church of Christ, northeast of Falls City.
Edwin was raised on the farm northeast of Falls City and attended District 49 country school. Following his schooling he farmed with his father until entering Military Service. Following his discharge he returned to farming and when married the couple established their home on the family farm. He retired in 1986. He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, northeast of Falls City and was a member of the Men’s Brotherhood of his Church and also was a District 49 School Board member.
Edwin is survived by his wife, Marcille of Falls City, son, Merle and his wife Sara of Falls City, daughters, Ellen Focht and her husband Jack of Lincoln, NE, Charlotte Bachman and her husband Lyle of Tulsa, OK, Bonnie Fauss and her husband John of Tulsa, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marie Kentopp and a grandson, Timothy Bachman.
His funeral will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
