Joann Jones

Joann Jones, 85, of Falls City, NE, passed away September 16, 2015 at Falls City. She was born September 22, 1929 at Forest City, MO to the late Gerald and Mary (Clift) Anno.

On November 27, 1948 she married Virgil Jones at St. Joseph, MO.

Joann was raised in Forest City and graduated Forest City High School in 1947. When married the couple established their home north of Falls City and moved to Rulo in 1953. In 1961 she began a 29 year career at the ASCS office, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed her flowers and golfing. She was a member of Falls City BPO Does Drove #56 and was also past state president.

Joann is survived by her husband, Virgil of Falls City, son, Gary and his wife Linda of Falls City, Rick Jones and Julie of Rulo, sister, Elaine McCool of St. Joseph, MO, brother, John Anno and his wife Lola of Rulo, granddaughters, Tracy Williams and her husband Brett of Laramie, WY, Kara Willison and her husband Jeremy of Lincoln, NE, great-grandchildren, Brayden, Mikayla, Connor and Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dwaine, Gerald and Carl, and a granddaughter, Jennifer in infancy.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-5:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
