Kathryn D. Fiegener, 72, of Dawson, NE passed away February 1, 2017 at Lincoln, NE. She was born on April 11, 1944 at Chicago, IL to the late Edward and Dorothy (Bobo) Brandys.
Kathryn married James Fiegener on August 5, 1988 at Omaha, NE.
Kathryn was raised in the Chicago area and graduated from Taft High School in 1962. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in teaching at the University of Nebraska-Omaha as well as a Master’s Degree in Education. She taught at Walt Disney Elementary at Millard. When the couple married they established their home in Dawson. She taught at the North and South Schools until retiring in 2007. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dawson and a member of the Altar Society.
Kathryn is survived by her husband James Fiegener of Dawson, NE; daughter Pam Summers and her husband Joe of Kansas City, MO; son, Michael Albertson and his wife Kristine of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Charlene Fee and her husband Gar of Galena, IL; Susan Craner and her husband Tom of Antioch, IL; and six grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dawson, NE with Father Hoesing as the Presiding Priest.
A rosary will be held Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dawson, NE.
Family will receive friends following the rosary at the Fellowship Hall.
