Kim E. Bechtold

Kim E. Bechtold, 57, of Falls City, NE passed away on November 27, 2016 at Lincoln, NE. She was born August 29, 1959 at Falls City, NE to the late Ronald and Sandra (Stednitz) Sailors.

Kim married Jay Bechtold on September 5, 1981 at Hiawatha, KS. They were later divorced in 1991.

Kim was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1977. When married the couple established their home in Everest, KS and she worked at Horton Community Hospital. She moved back to Falls City in 1991 and  worked for the nursing homes in Falls City and was also employed at Head Start for 10 years, in 1993 she began working at Jonesbrook and also did independent in home health care for elderly people. She also drove the Aquatic Center shuttle bus during the summers.

She is survived by son, Jay Bechtold of Falls City; daughters, Amanda Jones and her husband Cody of Falls City, Kody McKim and her husband Brett of Falls City; brothers, Randy Sailors and his wife Barb of Falls City, Kevin Sailors and his wife Sherry of La Pine, OR; sister, Rhonda Kirkendall of Falls City, grandchildren, Ryker Jones, Mallory Bechtold, Paylen Jones, Dayken McKim, Brently Jones, Bryson McKim, and her aunts and uncles.  She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Kelsey, in infancy.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. A private family inurnment will be at Harris Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Monday from 7-8 P.M. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
