Linda Bauman

Linda Bauman, 72, of Falls City, NE, passed away May 7, 2015 at Falls City. She was born May 16, 1942 at Roy, WA to the late James and Harriet (Rader) Thomas.

On November 28, 1959 she married Dennis Bauman at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Rulo.

Linda moved to Falls City at the age of three and attended Arago Country School and graduated from Shubert High School in 1959. The couple established their home in Kansas City for the first four years of their marriage while Dennis was a carpenter with his brother Vincent. They moved back to Falls City in 1964 to live on a farm. Linda stayed at home to raise he children until she started her house cleaning business in 1980.

Her greatest enjoyment were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to garden, sew and quilt, but she was best known for all of her cooking. Never did anyone enter kitchen that she didn’t want to feed them. She was especially famous for her cinnamon rolls. It was often stated “Nobody leaves Linda’s kitchen hungry.” She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Arago.

Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dennis of Falls City, sons, Dennis, Jr. and his wife Stephanie, Mark and his wife Jenny, Jim and special friend Cindy Campbell all of Falls City, daughters, Terri Messner and her husband Carl, Angie Bauman and special friend Kevin Sopoci all of Falls City, sister, Dorothy Sailors and her husband, Don of Falls City, fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Edward David and Sam Thomas and a granddaughter, Jessica Cook.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father David Oldham as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on May 15th at 6:30 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. The family will greet friends afterwards.
