Mildred Kottich

Mildred Kottich, 86, of Falls City, NE passed away June 26, 2016 at Lincoln, NE. She was born on June 14, 1930 at Falls City to the late Louis and Magdalen (Bauman) Harpenau.

On March 31, 1951 she married Walter Kottich at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He passed away January 23, 1998.

Mildred was raised at Falls City and graduated Falls City Sacred Heart High School in 1948. When married the couple established their home in Falls City and moved to the family farm in April of 1960. She worked in the Sacred Heart Lunch room and for RSVP for many years as well as being a farm wife and homemaker. She moved into Falls City in 1998 and then to Jonesbrook in 2015. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.

She is survived by sons, Stephen Kottich of Falls City, Kenneth Kottich and his wife Kathy of Lincoln, NE, daughter, Kathleen Burda of Lincoln, brother Richard Harpenau of Kansas City, MO, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Regis, Virgil and Larry Harpenau and a daughter-in-law, Diana Kottich.

Catholic Daughters Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 4:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. A Parish Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. Family will receive friends following the rosary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Thomas Dunavan as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery.
