Peggy Liberty, 79, of Nebraska City, NE, passed away December 25, 2016 at Auburn, NE. She was born December 2, 1937 at Rulo, NE to the late Olin and Ruth (Pifer) McWain.
On March 23, 1957 she married Raymond Liberty at Hiawatha, KS, he passed way February 9, 1990.
Peggy was raised at Rulo and attended school there. When married the couple lived in Kansas City, Brownville, Peru and Nemaha. Following the death of her husband she moved to Tecumseh, NE where she worked for Campbell Soup. She retired in 1997 after 25 years of employment. She moved to Edwardsville, KS in 1998 and then to Nebraska City to be with her daughter in 2014 and then moved to the Good Samaritan Home in Auburn, NE in 2016.
Peggy is survived by her daughters, Peggy Yott and her special friend Rick Pugh of Tecumseh, Norma Horner and her husband Duane of Nebraska City, brother, Kenneth McWain of Kansas City, six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Betty Tracy, brothers, Neil and Vernon McWain and a son, Rodney in infancy.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Butch Liberty officiating. Interment will be in Rulo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
