Richard "Rich" Niedfeldt

Richard “Rich” Niedfeldt, 56, of Shubert, NE, passed away March 5, 2018 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 11, 1961 at Falls City to Harold and Joann (Krueger) Niedfeldt.

Rich was raised in the Shubert area and graduated Southeast Consolidated High School in 1979. Following graduation he became employed at Koster’s Manufacturing as a welder at Falls City. He then became a full time farmer working with his Dad. After his Dad’s retirement he took over the farming operation. In high school he participated in basketball and FFA. He loved to golf, bowl, Jet Ski, travel, snowmobiling in Wyoming and being with his friends. He was Baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (6 miles north), where he was a lifetime member.

Rich is survived by his parents, Harold and Joann of Falls City, sister, Rita Kreifels and her husband Scott of Verdon, NE, niece Kari Cook and her husband Taylor of Grand Island, NE, nephews, Alan Kreifels and his wife Courtney and Eric Kreifels and his wife Skylar both of Falls City. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald, grandparents, Fred and Ethel Krueger, Albert and Anna Niedfeldt, Sr.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (6 miles north) with Reverend Daniel Gifford officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
