Rick Oberle

Richard “Rick” Oberle, 67, of Falls City, NE, passed away September 21, 2017 at Lincoln, NE. He was born June 13, 1950 at Ste. Genevieve, MO to Robert and Nelda (Moore) Oberle.

Rick was drafted into the U. S. Army and served as a diesel mechanic during the Viet Nam war.

He married Sandra Marrs in 1992 at Falls City.

Rick graduated from Ste. Genevieve High School in 1969 and then attended tech school. Following his discharge from the Army he returned to Ste. Genevieve and work for Union Pacific Railroad and was a supervisor for the line crew. He moved to Falls City in 1989 and continued to work for Union Pacific until retirement. He was Catholic faith based, current member of American Legion, and former member of Elks Lodge both at Ste. Genevieve.

Rick is survived by his wife, Sandra Marrs-Oberle of Falls City, daughters, Sara Hoog and her husband David of Ste. Genevieve, sons, Joshua and Samuel both of Ste. Genevieve, brother, Philip of Ste. Genevieve and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials go for Masses or given to Family Choice.
