Sheila Whalen, 78, of Falls City, NE, passed away October 23, 2017 at Falls City. She was born September 17, 1939 at Falls City to Alfred and Imogene (Young) Kessler.
She married Larry Whalen on February 23, 1957 at Ft. Chaffee Army Base, Fort Smith, AR.
Sheila was raised at Falls City and graduated Falls City High School in 1957. She married she lived in Falls City while her husband served in Korea for two years. Following his discharge they continued to live in Falls City where she was a homemaker raising her family. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary at Falls City.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Larry of Falls City, sons, Michael and his wife Cassey of Falls City, Rick and his wife Christi of Eagle, NE, Dennis and his wife Kindra of Weston, MO, sister, Bonnie Zentner and her husband Kenneth of Falls City, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Weinert officiating. Inurnment will be in Steele Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-5:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
