Tracy Sells

Tracy Sells, 57, of Rulo, NE, passed away March 11, 2018 at Falls City, NE. She was born August 21, 1960 at Cozad, NE to Max and Irene “Renie” (Jolkowski) Rathman.

She married Michael Sells on December 20, 1980 at Falls City and established their home in Rulo, where she has lived since. He passed away August 17, 2003.

Tracy was raised at Falls City and graduated Falls City Sacred Heart in 1978. She graduated Nebraska Methodist School of Nursing in 1981 and earned her Bachelors of Nursing from the University of Nebraska in 1989. She had been employed at Falls City Hospital since 1979. At the time of her death she was the Director of Quality and Risk Management and Corporate Compliance at Community Medical Center. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Tracy is survived by her son, Matthew and his wife Alicia of Shenandoah, IA, brother, Chris Rathman and his wife Kim of Maple Grove, MN, sister, Vicki Lehr and her husband Tony of Gladstone, MO, grandsons, Carter and Mason, and step-father, Bud Gerweck of Falls City. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father David Oldham as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the rosary.

The family prefers memorials be made to CMC Foundation or Sacred Heart Endowment Fund.
