Lila Mae Stafford

Lila Mae Stafford, 77, of Falls City, NE, passed away April 26, 2024 at Falls City. She was born September 29, 1946 at Falls City to Alvin and Theone (Imhof) Kuhlman.

She married Philip H. Stafford on April 5, 1971 at Lincoln, NE. He passed away September 3, 2014.

Lila Mae was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1964. Following graduation, she worked at Stephenson’s Rexall Drugs. She lived and worked in various places, most notably she and her husband managed the Falls City Country Club and the Albia Country Club in Albia, IA. She was lastly employed by Quiktron, Inc in Albia, retiring around 2010. She enjoyed counted cross stitch, weaving, shopping and collecting tea pots.

Lila Mae is survived by her sister, Kim Oliver and her husband Brad of Falls City, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Lance Corporal Melvin Kuhlman KIA and Donald Kuhlman.

Her memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Eslinger Cemetery at Monroe County, IA.

Lila Mae loved bright colors so it has been requested to wear bright colors at the memorial service to honor her.
