Vicki L. Auxier, 60, of Council Bluffs, IA (formerly of FallsCity), passed away December 2, 2009 at Council Bluffs. She was born April 29, 1949 at FallsCity to Howard Auxier and the late Angeline “Angie” (South) Auxier.
Vicki was raised in the rural Salem, NE area and graduated from FallsCityHigh School in 1967. Following graduation she attended Peru State College at Peru, NE and then became employed at Northwestern Bell in Omaha, NE; she had also worked for Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Omaha, retiring several years ago due to her health. She was a member of St. Mark’s EvangelicalLutheranChurch, southeast of Verdon, NE.
Vicki is survived by her son Brian of Ashburn, VA, father, Howard of Falls City, brother, Scott and his wife Cindy of York, NE and a sister, Pamela Venning of Ashburn, VA. She was preceded in death by her mother, and a sister, Linda Goetz.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Block officiating. Inurnment will be in VerdonCemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
