Harold A. Apel, 93, of Camden Point, MO, died March 24, 2005 at Kansas City, MO. He was born September 14, 1911 at FallsCity to the late Henry and Lizzie (Gosner) Apel.
On November 2, 1942 he married Mavis A. Irwin at Dawson, NE. She died July 6, 1983.
Harold was raised northeast of FallsCity and graduated FallsCityHigh School in 1930. When married, the couple established their home at Reserve, KS. In 1944 they moved northeast of FallsCity were he farmed until moving to FallsCity in 1960. He worked for Farm & City Supply prior to retiring. He moved to Camden Point, MO in 2001. He formerly a member of the Zion Evangelical Church, northeast of Falls City and a member of BPO Elks Lodge #963.
Harold is survived by a daughter, Linda Baber and her husband Larry of Camden Point, MO, sister, Viola Linscott of Falls City, two grandchildren and two great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Lester and Orville, sisters, Lavina Luster and Leona Bowers.
Funeral services will be held on March 29, 2005 11:00 AM at Dorr & Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Steven Wainwright officiating. Interment will be in SteeleCemetery.
The family will receive friends on March 28, 2005 from 6-7:30 PM at Dorr & Clark Funeral Home.
