Alberta “Bertie” Scholl, 85, of Falls City, NE, passed away February 16, 2010 at Falls City. She was born September 11, 1924 at Falls City to the late Albert and Ruby (Waggner) Burk.

On October 14, 1956 she married Elmer H. Scholl at Christ Lutheran Church at Falls City. He passed away November 25, 1996.

Mrs. Scholl was raised in Falls City. She worked for Flannigan’s Grill for 8 1/2 years and owned and operated Bertie’s Grill 9 years and retired in 1957 when she sold it. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20^th & Towle St., Falls City.

She is survived by a niece, Donna Lotter of Falls City, nephew, Danny Jarrett of St. Joseph, MO, great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Trena Eaton.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20^th and Towle St. with Pastor Linda Daniels-Block officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin Wednesday afternoon.
