Harvey B. Wiar, 67, of Falls City, NE, passed away February 22, 2010 at FallsCity. He was born August 10, 1942 at FallsCity to the late Kenneth and Lucille (Stump) Wiar.
He married Margaret Miller Hedrick and they were later divorced. On March 5, 1982 he married Linda Schulenberg Honea at Miami, OK.
Harvey was raised at FallsCity and attended FallsCityHigh School. Harvey enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1961 and was later honorably discharged. Upon his discharge he returned home and worked for Ron Fritz, helping him farm. He then worked construction and worked on building the Cooper Nuclear Station at Brownville, NE and the coal poser plant in NebraskaCity. He drove a truck for R & R Express for the last 18 years and retired in August of 2007.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Linda of Falls City, son, Kenneth Wiar and his wife Tami of Arlington, TX, step-sons,
Tim Hedrick of Arlington, TX, Dwaine Honea of Tobias, NE, sisters, Brenda Fritz and her husband Ron of Salem, NE, Barbara Young of Jefferson City, MO, three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a step-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 1:30 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Joyce Elliott officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at SteeleCemetery.
The family prefers memorials be made to Richardson Country Cancer Fund in lieu of flowers.
