Anna  E.  Duerfeldt
d. 6/30/2010

Anna E. Duerfeldt, 84, of Falls City, NE, passed away June 30, 2010 at Falls City. She was born September 11, 1925 at Falls City to the late Charles and Emma (McMahan) Noyes.

 

On June 24, 1945 she married Lester Duerfeldt at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, northeast of Falls City.

 

Anna graduated from Falls City High School in 1944 and was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, northeast of Falls City. The couple established their home on the farm 11 miles northeast of Falls City and lived there until they moved to Eastview Apartments in January of 2010. Anna loved vegetable and flower gardening, cooking and baking.  She was a 4-H leader (Peppy Misses) for many years and a Charter Member of the Treasure Seekers Club. She was active in the LCW of her Church and was a past Sunday School teacher. Family was very important to her; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, northeast of Falls City.

 

Anna is survived by her husband, Lester of Falls City, a daughter, Beverly Hankins and her husband William of St. Charles, MO, sons, Jerry and his wife Linda and Stanley and his wife Stacey both of Falls City. Granddaughters, Tracy Dlouhy and her husband Marty, Shelley Hankins, Jennifer Uher and her husband Matt, Christi Wegener and her husband Cory, Becky Gossman and her husband David, Shelby Duerfeldt and Lindsey Duerfeldt, step-granddaughters, Kelly Sparrow and her husband Brent and Carol McMullen and her husband Kevin, seven great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Neva McCann and Helen Guy, half-sister, Ella Noyes.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with PMA Wanda Biel and Pastor Judith Wascher officiating. Interment will be in Williamsville Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
