Marjory  Grush

Marjory Grush, 92, of Falls City, NE, passed away July 4, 2010 at Fremont, NE. She was born January 2, 1918 near Verdon, NE to the late David and Vera (Yoder) Griffiths.

She married Leland Thacker who died in the Battle of Normandy. On September 12, 1946 she married Robert Grush at Hiawatha, KS. He passed away March 4, 1979.

Marjory was raised in the rural Verdon and Dawson, NE areas and graduated Dawson High School in 1934. When she married Mr. Grush they established their home in Falls City and moved to the current family home in 1968. She was a homemaker and lifetime resident of Falls City. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Falls City and a former member of the church choir. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to many bridge clubs.

Marjory is survived by her son, Terry and his wife Mary of Greeley, CO, daughter, Lois Mueller and her husband Lowell of Hooper, NE, sister, Carroll Witler of Loveland, CO, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, brother, Owen Griffiths, sisters, Lois Jean Griffiths and Donna Hager.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Steele Cemetery with Pastor Lyle K. Schoen officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
