Rutha R. Rowland, 64, of Salem, NE, passed away July 8, 2010 at Salem. She was born October 17, 1945 at Woodward, OK to the late Benjamin and Genevia (Taylor) Robinson.

She married Dennis Rowland on August 1, 1991 at Hiawatha, KS.

Rutha was raised in the Richardson County area and graduated from Southeast Consolidated High School at Stella, NE in 1963.  She worked at Campbell Soup Co. in Tecumseh, NE, then at Flairfold Cabinet Factory in Hiawatha, KS and also worked as a nurse’s aide at Falls City Care Center, retiring in 2003, due to her health. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Falls City.

Rutha is survived by her husband, Dennis of Salem and a step-brother, Mark Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Maple Cemetery, Salem with Monsignor Robert A. Roh as the presiding priest.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
