Audrey Alice (Williams) Bennett, born January 2, 1928, Council Bluffs IA, to Glenn and Laura (Springer) Williams. She passed away October 9, 2017, in Falls City NE.
Audrey graduated Falls City High School in 1946, she trained as a beautician in Falls City. Audrey met Jim Bennett in 1947 and they married February 9, 1948, in Falls City, their marriage was blessed with 13 children. They made their home in the Kansas City metro area for many years, then moved back to Falls City in 1973. Audrey’s life was devoted to her family, church, and many friends. Audrey loved the Kansas City Royals. To know Audrey was a blessing, her smile warmed many hearts and she was described as everything you could ever want in a friend. She was a member of Good News Assembly of God Church.
Audrey is lovingly survived by a sister Colleen “Coker” Tillman, Omaha NE, daughters: Joyce Reed (Steve) Hot Springs AR, Mary Beth Avila (Joe) Kansas City MO, Colleen Langan Falls City NE, Sons: John Brooklyn NY, Mike (Roxy) Odessa MO, Bill (Nancy) Pleasant Valley MO, Don Kansas City MO, Steve (Dana) Independence MO, David Half Moon Bay CA, Chuck (Dawn) Verdon NE, Brian (Mary Jo) Lees Summit MO, Ron (Chris) Falls City NE, Dennis (Sherry) Omaha NE, 30 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, brother and sisters-in-law John Bennett, Marjorie Lyons and Mary Cooke, along with many nieces & nephews and special friends Bev, Laura & Jeannie. She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn & May Williams, husband Jim, sisters Maxine, Mickey, daughter-in-law Harriet and grandson James Michael Bennett.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Good News Assembly of God Church in Falls City NE.
Celebration of life services will be Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Good News Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tim Boatright officiating. Private family inurnment at a later date.
The family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice.
