Barbara Liberty

Barbara Liberty, 71, of Hiawatha, KS (formerly of Falls City, NE), passed away June 14, 2018 at Hiawatha. She was born July 7, 1946 at Falls City, NE to Robert and Alma (Lock) Adams.

She married Don Liberty Sr. on January 7, 1963 at St. Joseph, MO. He passed away December 31, 1993.

Barbara was raised at Rulo, NE and attended Reserve High School. When married the couple established their home at Kansas City and she worked at Marcon Manufacturing for five years, then moved back to Falls City in 1978. She worked at Wilde Tool Company at Hiawatha for two years then moved to Lawson, MO in 1980 where she worked at Treadager Manufacturing at Excelsior Springs and also the Elm Hotel. She moved back to Falls City in 1986 and worked at Midland Villa Nursing Home in the kitchen until retiring in 1995. She recently moved to Hiawatha to be near her son.

Barbara is survived by her children, Don Jr. and his wife Lily of Hiawatha, Angila King and her husband Russ of St. Louis, MO, Samuel of Sabetha, KS, Troy of Falls City, brothers, Richard Adams and his wife Luann of Falls City, Gary Adams of Rulo, Tom Adams and his wife Judy of Falls City, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and companion, John Pennel, Jr. of Hiawatha. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Robert Adams and a sister, Lois Lunsford.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Father Thomas Dunavan officiating. Interment will be in Rulo Cemetery.

A rosary will be recited on Friday at 6:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with family receiving friends following the rosary.
