To Gale, Deanna and Darla,
My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. Don was a true friend. He always made the effort to stop and talk to me on his walks around town. His smile while talking about family and past times will always be remembered. May God Bless you all with fond memories and many friends to comfort you.

Know that you have my love and sympathy as you grieve the loss of a great man. I am glad that I have 60 years of memories. The photo you have posted is wonderful but the smile is not as big as the one on his face when he carried Junior in to our little cafe and put him in my mom's arms. After you left, I remember telling mom that I had never seen him smile so big before. Mom told me that it was because he was a proud daddy. That did not end as I recall those smiles when you girls came about. I remember seeing him watch you playing in the yard with that same proud smile. I will miss our short visits when I come back to Stella. It seemed that I quite often saw him outside as I was driving past so I would stop for a quick chat. When I would ask him what was new, he would always answer, "Not much changes here. You are the one who lives in the city. What is new with you?" You were blessed with a caring man who lived an honorable life and sure loved his family. Praying for all of you that God will give you peace and comfort as you face the days ahead.
