I hadn't run into Donna since graduating from DV, but did so at the reunion held in Dawson a couple years ago. We had such a nice talk about nursing, sharing a few thoughts that only nurses that work in OB would understand. She was so delightful and had a spirit that resonated all around her. I just knew her patients must love her and were blessed that she was the one taking care of them. So sorry to hear of her death. With deep regard to those left behind to cherish her memory.

I was honored to have attended nursing school with this sweet lady. She always had a awesome smile and a great sense of humor!! I remember that we would all pile into her old black car--the Roach- and headed out to classes at Mo Western. A group of us picked up one of the teacher's Voltswagon and put it up on the sidewalk--sure we got in trouble but we laughed so hard!! We built a snowman on one of the teacher's car ---silly little things but we had a lot of fun together!!!! She was a wonderful lady that I should have seen and talked to more often.

I cared for Donna as she was a patient at St Elizabeth's. Her positive attitude, love for her family, and admiration for her coworkers were absolutely amazing. I am so saddened that her short battle ended so quickly. During the late night hours when she couldn't sleep, she shared with me her love for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She is an inspiration to me to be the best person, wife, and mom I can be.
Prayers to your family. Donna was a very special lady, a patient I won't soon forget. She was a fighter with a sweet and gentle spirit. God's blessings to each of you.
