Glendonald “Bud” Runyan, 94, of Falls City, Nebraska passed away December 27, 2018. He was born July 22, 1924 one and a half miles north of Barada, Nebraska to Don and Frieda “Fritz” (Kammerer) Runyan. He was baptized at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on November 9, 1924 and also later confirmed there.

Bud graduated 8th grade from Cottier School, then from Falls City High School in 1942. After high school he farmed until he was drafted into the U. S. Army in 1945. He had basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was stationed at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii where he was a weather observer and radio operator for one year. On June 19, 1949 he married Gertrude Biedenweg at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, rural Falls City. Gertie passed away November 2, 2014. Bud was a member of St. Peter’s church and served on many boards.
