Jeff Moyer

Jeff Moyer, 55, of Peru, NE, died November 23, 2019 at Lincoln, NE. He was born May 18, 1964 at Nebraska City, NE to Gary Lee and Nancy (Hukill) Moyer.

Jeff enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1981 and was honorably discharged in 1984.

Jeff was raised at Farragut, IA. Jeff Moyer was a hardworking man, he has always been self employed and he could do just about anything. Jeff loved bands like Molly Hatchet, Johnny Cash and Lynard Skynard. During his life he created relationships, owned his own business, raised 3 beautiful girls on his own. He served in the U.S military and went to Germany for 2 years and upon his return home, he attended Peru State College where he from then had 3 children which later gave him his favorite people in the world, His Grandkids, Gunner, Akilah, Xharyah, Xaxden and Azra. While Jeff’s hands seemed full raising 3 girls, He never quit to give them everything they ever needed. Jeff was a dedicated loving and great man who never asked for anything in return as he walked through life figuring out everything he knew on his own.

The knowledge Jeff had and the things he knew and obtained are a part of who he was and will always go on forever. Jeff was a patient man that never let anything stop him and knew the hardest thing in life was accepting things that you didn’t want to. He also had a huge spot in his heart for his dogs, and they were like his children. About a few years after his children were born, he moved to Salem NE where had his own business fixing headstones mowing cemeteries, yard work etc. Jeff was always proud of his kids and always bragged about them to everyone, he loved being a grandfather, it made him so happy. Jeff will be remembered as a man who didn’t take anything from anyone, a brilliant mind and protected his family no matter what. Jeff was also a boxer and taught his 3 girls how to defend themselves. He was an amazing friend and he was always one heck of a mechanic.

Jeff is survived by his daughters, Kasha Moyer and her fiancé Ryan of Peru, Nina Moyer and her fiancé Taylor of Lincoln, Janeen Moyer of Humboldt, NE, mother, Nancy Moyer, brothers, Stacey and Monte Moyer and a sister, Laura Esser, all of Farragut, and his 5 grandchildren, Gunner, Akilah, Xharyah, Xaxden and Azra. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Salem Community Building. A gathering of friends will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2 P.M. at Riverton, IA.
