Jerry Rhodd

Gerald “Jerry” Rhodd, 66, of Falls City, NE, passed away April 12, 2019 at St. Joseph, MO. He was born July 7, 1952 to William and Wanda (Sisk) Rhodd.

He married Carla Stevens and they were later divorced, then married Toni Bennett and were later divorced.

He served in the Nebraska National Guard located at Falls City.

Jerry was raised in White Cloud, KS and after moving to Falls City he graduated Falls City High School in 1971. He worked for Safeway, Gambles, Derby Gas Station, Price Chopper and Hinky Dinky. In 1988 he began working for the City of Falls City in the Gas Department, he worked for 23 years, retiring in 2011 due to his health. He also worked part time for Brewer Farms during planting and harvest seasons. He was a member of Falls City Elks Lodge and Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Erin Hagedorn and her husband Tim of Lincoln, son, Josh and his wife Carla of Falls City, sisters, Wanda Craig, Marguerite Packett, Georgia Rhodd all of Falls City, special friend, Carol Zimmerman of Falls City and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation.
