Lynne McCullough

Lynne McCullough, 78, of Falls City, NE, passed away peacefully April 6, 2017 at Falls City, surrounded by her family. She was born December 19, 1938 at Chicago, IL to Oscar and Lucille (Nieske) Holste.

On October 7, 1967 she married William “Bill” McCullough at Englewood, CO. He passed away January 2, 2002.

Lynne attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated from Palatine High School in 1956 at Palatine, IL. She attended Northern Illinois University and graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. During her thirty year teaching career she taught in Illinois, Colorado and Nebraska. She retired from teaching in May of 2001 after teaching at North School for fourteen years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Falls City and was an officer of the Nebraska Retired Teachers Association.

Lynne is survived by her sons, Corey and his wife Brooke of Falls City, Mike and his wife Missy of Falls City and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church with Reverends John Hogue and Paul Weinert officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

The family prefers memorials be made to Richardson County Cancer Fund or Richardson County Humane Society.
