Ralph Huettner

Ralph Huettner, 79, of Falls City, NE, passed away July 29, 2019 at Falls City. He was born September 24, 1939 at Falls City to William and Augusta (Koso) Huettner.

He married Pam Hatfield on July 18, 1965 at First Christian Church at Falls City.

Ralph was drafted into the U. S. Army on January 15, 1962. He was honorably discharged on January 14, 1965.

Ralph was raised on a farm and graduated Falls City High School in 1958. Following graduation he worked on the family farm and for other farmers until entering the U. S. Army. Upon his discharge he returned to Falls City and worked for Millwork and Boher Brothers Lumber Company. He then started Huettner’s Fertilizer at Salem. He then became the service officer for Richardson County for fifteen years, retiring in 2010. He was a 24 year member of District 56 School Board, serving as president for 9 years. He also brought the first dedicated ambulance service to Falls City. He was a member of First Christian Church and served many position in his church, a member of American Legion Post #102, having served as Post Commander, VFW, Falls City Elks Lodge and Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Pam of Falls City, daughters, Jennifer Campbell and her husband Brad of Falls City, Brandie Huettner of Lincoln, Danielle Huettner of Falls City, sister, Peggy Aue of Erie, CO, grandchildren, Ashley Jacobs and her husband Cody of Falls City, Stephanie Witt and her husband Casey of Falls City, Treyce Hanlon of Falls City, great-grandchildren, Deacon, Noah and Kinley Jacobs, Grayson and Paxton Witt. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Loren and Darrel and a great-granddaughter, Reagan.

His memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10:30 AM at First Christian Church with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Inurnment will be in Steele Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation.
