Robert Sopoci

Robert G. Sopoci, 90, of Falls City, NE, passed away September 24, 2019 at Falls City. He was born August 25, 1929 at Tripp, SD to Stephen and Anna (Sladek) Sopoci.

He married Velvejane Weisz on November 25, 1952 at Tripp, SD.

He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from January 9, 1951 and was honorably discharged December 29, 1958. 

Robert was raised in Tripp, SD following his schooling he drove a truck before enlisting in the United States Air Force and when discharged he moved back to Tripp and the couple lived in various states due to his employment as a union carpenter. He moved to Shubert where he worked at CNS. In 2012 the couple moved into Falls City and lived here since.

Robert is survived by his wife, Velvejane of Falls City, son, Kevin of Falls City, daughter, Vickie Oliver and her husband David of Salem, brother, Jim of Mitchell, SD, seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his his parents, son, Randy Lee, 15 brothers & sisters, two great grandchildren, Hailey and Andrew Sopoci.

Mr. Sopoci has been cremated and service will be held at a later date.
