Verba Strecker

Verba Strecker, 77, of Falls City, NE, passed away August 18, 2018 at Lincoln, NE. She was born November 16, 1940 at Fairview, KS to Mel and Gladys (Fee) Baker.

She married Raymond Strecker on January 16, 1960 at Falls City. He passed away September 9, 2015.

Verba was raised at Rulo and graduated Falls City High School. When married the couple established their home in Falls City. She worked at First National Bank for over 50 years, retiring in December of 2014. She was a member of DOES Drove #56 of Falls City.

She is survived by her daughters, Lori Owens of Falls City, Sherri Strecker and Robert Fisher of Falls City, grandchildren, Dennis Lockard II and his wife Kalli, Dylan Lockard, Brandon Gibson, Jessica and Jacie Fisher, brother, Eldon Baker of San Antonio, TX and a sister, Myrna Whitfield of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Phyllis Johnson and a son in infancy.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Weinert officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
