Arlinda "Sue" Watson

Arlinda “Sue” Watson, 72, passed away May 28, 2020 at Falls City, NE. She was born October 4, 1947 at Falls City to Arlene Wing McGinnis.

She married Allen Mahoney in 1970 at the Church of the Nazarene at Falls City. He passed away in 1973.

Sue graduated from Falls City High School in 1966 and attended Mid-American Nazarene College for 2 years. She met and married Allen and moved to St. Louis, MO. After his passing, Sue returned to Falls City and worked at Northview Car Center and then Midland Villa working at nursing homes for over 20 years as a bath aid and then the dietary supervisor. As a Children’s Minister she did puppet shows, making her own puppets. She loved to sew and made her son’s costumes when he was in Passion Plays in high school and for many other organizations. Sue was very kind, selfless, always positive and loved God. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and Prayer Warrior.

Sue is survived by her sons, Thomas Mahoney of Imperial Beach, CA, David Mahoney and his wife Angela of Falls City, Byron Watson and his wife Lilibeth of Vista, CA and Stephen Watson and his wife Kaylee of St. Joseph, MO, brother Marty Jahn and his wife Grace of Falls City, sister Lynnette Davis of Rainbow City, AL and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, dad, Gene McGinnis, husband and a sister, Wilma.

A private memorial service has been planned by her sons.
