Beverly Parrish

Beverly Kay Parrish, 64, of Hickman, NE, passed away January 9, 2023 at Lincoln, NE. She was born on September 4, 1958 at Falls City, NE to John and Barbara (Babbitt) Parrish.

Bev was raised at Falls City and graduated Falls City High School in 1976. Following graduation, she attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for one year and then graduated from the Lincoln School of Commerce two years later. After graduating she began working for the State of Nebraska in the Department of Agriculture, then became employed at Lincoln General Hospital before starting a career as an executive secretary for St. Elizabeth/CHI Hospital that lasted over 30 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Falls City. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, especially card making and ceramics, spending time with her nieces, nephew and family and her cats.

Bev is survived by her mother and step-father, Barbara Parrish and Benny Sickel of Falls City, brothers, Jim Parrish and his wife Lori of Auburn, NE, Doug Parrish and his wife Judy of Falls City, six nieces and a nephew, nine great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with Pastors Michael Brown and Mike Hader officiating. Inurnment will be in Steele Cemetery. No viewing or visitation. Friends may sign the guest registry at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home during regular business hours.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation.
