William “Bill” Sailors, Jr., 70, of Reserve, KS, passed away April 1, 2018 at Falls City, NE. He was born April 5, 1947 at Fresno, CA to William and Tomma Jean (Cox) Sailors, Sr.
William served in the U. S. Navy
He married Linda Leafty June 25, 1990 at St. Joseph, MO.
Bill was raised in California and moved to Falls City in the 1980’s. He worked at Woodings-Verona, WASP at Falls City and Wilde Tool in Hiawatha, KS. He was an over the road truck driver for Swift Trucking and drove a bus for Greyhound Bus Lines. He retired due to his health in 2000. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Hiawatha.
Bill is survived by his wife, Linda of Reserve, sons, Steve of San Diego, CA, Doug of Auburn, NE, daughters, Michelle Sailors of Fresno, CA & Laura Sailors of Auburn, NE step-children, Michael Goldman of Atchison, KS, Kristina Goldman of Laurel, NE, , brothers, Mike of California, Ben of Shubert, NE, sisters, Fran McGee and Kay Pederson both of Arkansas and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Hiawatha. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation.
