Carol Wilhelm

Carol Wilhelm, 82, of Falls City, NE, passed away February 24, 2021 at Falls City. She was born February 10, 1939 north of Falls City to Eldon and Edna (Fritz) Kelly.

She married Jerry Wilhelm on April 6, 1957 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, six miles north of Falls City.

Carol was raised on a farm northeast of Falls City and attended Falls City High School. When married the couple established their home in Hebron, NE, then moved south of Verdon, then to Memphis, and into Falls City before moving to Humboldt, NE. She was employed by Heim T.V. and Appliance, Ideal Cleaners, Check-In Motel, Fireside Inn and assisted her husband taking care of the cattle while being a farm wife. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church at Humboldt, Forget Me Not China Painting Club, Concordia Women’s Guild, LWML and her churches Bible Study group.

Carol is survived her husband, Jerry of Falls City, children, Julie Buss and her husband Dennis of Humboldt, NE, Joan Finner of Falls City, John of Humboldt, June Dettmann of Glidden, IA, sister, Lorna Feek of Verdon, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Rick Dettmann.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Llewellyn officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Church Cemetery.

Viewing will begin Saturday afternoon until 5:00 PM and on Sunday from noon until after the visitation is over.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-4:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
