Darlene LuElla Rieschick Tisdel,91, was born in Falls City, Nebraska on October 29, 1929 to Louie Chris Rieschick and Amelia Clara (Hartman) Rieschick. She married Wayne A. Tisdel at the Lutheran Church in Hiawatha, Kansas on September 28, 1947. Wayne passed away October 8, 1992.
Darlene was baptized on November 2, 1930 and confirmed on April 18, 1943 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Darlene was a past Sunday School assistant and she helped with Bible School. She was a member and past President of the V.F.W. Auxillary and served in other offices. She was also the past President and member of B.P.O. Does, a member of the Social Hour Club, a life member of the Richardson County Historical Society and a life member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Shubert.
Darlene is survived by a son, Terry L. Tisdel and wife Linda, granddaughter Traci Carpenter and husband Josh, grandson, T.C. Tisdel and his wife Randee, step-daughter, Tammy Bruns and her husband Gary, step-grandson Kenny (Butch) Schawang and his wife Michell, great-granddaughters, Sadie and Cee Jay Tisdel, Sydney Tisdel and Stephen, Jocelyn and Baylee Wlaschin, great-great granddaughter, Kenzleigh and great-great-grandson, Carter, step-great grandchildren Lindsay Davis and her husband Kevin, Matthew Wilhelm, Joshua Bruns and Joel Schawang and his wife Desirea, step great-great-grandchildren, Tayler, Madisen and Kacen Davis, Nevada and Xavier Schawang. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne, her parents Louie Rieschick and Amelia Hartman Rieschick, two brothers, Milton and Melvin Rieschick and one sister, Ava Moore.
Darlene has donated her body to the Nebraska Anatomical Society and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Friends may sign a guest registry at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
