Darline M. Wright, 100, of Falls City, NE, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Falls City. She was born January 17, 1920 to Loyd and Roxie (Smith) Sailors 2 miles northeast of Barada, Ne.
She attended school at Barada and Shubert High School. She was employed at Barada Grocery store and in the business office of Hested’s Dime store in Falls City.
She married William Wright, Jr. at Hiawatha, KS, when Bill returned home from serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, December 6, 1945. They lived and farmed one mile north of Barada until June 12, 1983 when Bill passed away. She moved to Falls City and lived in a couple of different homes, on September 7, 2007 she entered Falls City Care Center.
Darline enjoyed working along with her husband with farm work. She loved her nieces and nephews and little children. She was talented musician and was a pianist and organist at Barada United Methodist Church for 60 years, and was also a member of the church.
Darline is survived by brother, Duane Sailors of Lincoln, NE, sister-in-law: Caroline (Sailors) Palmer of Falls City, nephews, Douglas and Greg Sailors, nieces: Diane McCann, Roxanne Sailors, Gina Noel and Joni Sailors. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, brother, Eldro Sailors, nephews Leon, Jason and Todd Sailors, great-niece, Tammy Sailors, sister-in-law Barbara Sailors, great-nephew Ryan Schulenberg.
Funeral Services will be Friday, October 16, 2020 at 1:30 P.M. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Yount officiating. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery at Barada.
