Dean McKinsey Obituary
Lawrence Dean McKinsey, 87, of Falls City, NE, passed away April 30, 2021 at Falls City. He was born April 16, 1934 to George W. and Hazel (Goolsby) McKinsey.
He married Janet Miner on August 14, 1982 at Verdon, NE. She passed away December 20, 2014.
Dean enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for 2 years.
Dean was raised at rural Verdon and graduated Verdon High School in 1951. When he returned home, he started farming his own land and raised livestock. He also worked at Rolland Owens machine shop. He worked part time at the Morrill Elevator following his retirement from farming,
Dean is survived by his brother, Charles McKinsey of Lincoln, NE, sister, Betty Spitzer of Pawnee City, NE, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers and one sister.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at Steele Cemetery.
No viewing or book will be available at the funeral home.
