Don “Snake” Sailors, 84, of Falls City, NE, passed away March 19, 2023 at Falls City. He was born March 14, 1939 at Shubert, NE to John and Helen (Hartman) Sailors.
He married Dorothy Thomas on November 20, 1956 at Hiawatha, KS. She passed away February 17, 2023.
Snake was raised at Barada and graduated Shubert High School in 1957. He then became employed at Frontier Homes. He worked various jobs until becoming a truck driver. He worked for several farmers and commercial entities. He retired from driving in 2001 and then drove part time for Larry Hahn and helped on the farm. He was a member of Barada Methodist Church.
Snake is survived by his sons, Don and his wife Jill of Omaha, Jeff and his wife Judy and Matt and his wife Rachelle both of Falls City, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son in infancy and a sister in infancy.
His memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Yount officiating. Inurnment will be in Harris Cemetery.
No viewing or visitation. Friends may sign the guest registry during regular business hours at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation.
