Dorothy Karst

Dorothy Karst, 94, of Falls City, NE, passed away December 3, 2020 at Falls City. She was born May 4, 1926 at Shubert, NE to Clark and Vera (McDowell) Lundy.

She married August Karst on August 29, 1943 at Shubert, NE.

Dorothy was raised in rural Shubert and graduated Shubert High School in 1943. When married the couple made their home on a farm northeast of Hiawatha, KS. She was a farm wife and homemaker there for over 40 years and in 1988 they moved into Falls City. She was a charter member of B.P.O Does Drove #56 of Falls City.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Peggy Downing of Monett, MO, grandchildren, Eric Ridinger of Monett, Misty Johnston of Cape Girardeau, MO, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Kenneth, twin sister, Doris John, brothers, Gordon and Bill Lundy. And a sister, Pat Johnson.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Prairie Union Cemetery with Pastor Tim Boatright officiating.

The service will be streamed on Dorr and Clark Funeral Home’s Facebook page pending cellular reception.

Open visitation and viewing will begin Sunday afternoon.
