Dorothy Muse

Dorothy Muse, 89, of Verdon, NE, passed away October 11, 2025 at Falls City, NE. She was born January 20, 1936 at St. Paul, KS to John and Josephine (Anderson) Frost.

She married Robert E. Muse on July 4, 1953 at Eureka, AR. He passed away April 21, 1972.

Dorothy was raised at St. Paul and when married the couple established their home in Oregon, MO. When her husband enlisted in the U. S. Air Force, they lived on various military bases until his discharge. She moved to California following his death and she sold produce and raised her family. She moved back to Verdon in May of 1996 and has lived there since. She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship and a lifetime member of the VFW.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Verna Shelton and Norma Muse both of Verdon, Joy Roland and her husband Merle of Salem, NE, many grandchildren, including, John Shelton of Verdon, many great-grandchildren, including, John Shelton, Jr. of Falls City. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters, sons, Robert and William, and a special friend, Paul Jorn.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Grace Bible Fellowship Church with Pastor David Lockard officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.
