Ed Bauman Obituary

Ed Bauman, a loving father, grandfather, and brother passed away on August 24, 2020 at the age of 66 in Lincoln, NE. Ed was born on June 1,1954 in Falls City, NE to Charles and Verna (Curfman) Bauman.

Ed was raised in Falls City, NE and graduated from Falls City High School in 1972. After high school, Ed worked for the city of Atchison, KS and also did carpentry work. Following a work accident, he became disabled and lived in Topeka, KS and Falls City, NE. He was also a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

During Ed's younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being ornery (he may have gotten a speeding ticket or two). He had a life-long love affair with black licorice and quite frankly anything sweet. He enjoyed talking on the phone and looking at pictures of family and friends on Facebook. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Ed is survived by his daughters, Tonya Griepenstroh and her husband Glen Duerfeldt of Syracuse, NE and children, Braiden Kendall and Chad Duerfeldt; Shawna Rhodd and her husband Sam of Liberty, MO and children, Tarcis and Taryn Coronado, Roberto Angel and Bailey Rhodd; Cierra Zirjacks and her husband Hyson of Joplin, MO and children, Wyatt and Abigail Johnson and Kynlee Zirjacks; Sabrina Tillman and her husband Tim of Topeka, KS and children, Haley, Hayden and Hunter Barta; brothers, Randy and Dan Bauman of Topeka, KS; sisters, Barbara Heaton and Tenna Morton and her husband Robert both of York, NE and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Verna Bauman; his sister, Marvel Roland; his son, Roy Bauman; his great granddaughter, Aubree (AJ) Johnson; and great-grandson, Justyn Murdock.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 28th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Steel Cemetery. Open visitation and viewing will be on Thursday, August 27th from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
