Elaine Wittrock

Elaine Wittrock, 91, of Falls City, NE, passed away July 7, 2023 at Falls City. She was born December 5, 1931 at Falls City to Edwin and Carrie (Watton) Fisher.

She married Robert Bruhn in 1950, they divorced in 1980. She then married Kenneth Wittrock on April 1, 1982 at Hiawatha, KS. He passed away December 19, 2015.

Elaine was raised in Verdon and graduated Verdon High School in 1949. When married the couple established their home in Verdon. She worked for many years at First National Bank as a teller and then at Midland Villa Nursing Home in the laundry department. She retired in 1998. When she married Mr. Wittrock, they moved to Falls City where she has lived since. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th and Towel St.).

Elaine is survived by her children, Kate Sells and her husband Donnie of Rulo, NE, Bob Bruhn and his wife Joni, Bill Bruhn and his wife Joan both of Beatrice, NE, step-son, Roger Wittrock of Milford, NE, brother, Rollie Fisher of Falls City, sisters-in-law, Norma Fisher and Norma Werner both of Falls City, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Darrell Fisher and sister-in-law, Lois Fisher.

Mrs. Wittrock has been cremated and a graveside service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service at the Falls City Elks Lodge.
