Frank Reavis Obituary

Frank C. Reavis, 80, of Lincoln, NE, passed away April 25, 2026 at Lincoln. He was born June 19, 1945 at Falls City, NE to David D. Reavis, Jr. and Sylvia (Clark) Reavis

He married Mary Steinman on February 19, 1972 at Falls City. She passed away February 2, 1998.

Frank served in the Nebraska National Guard, Company B in Falls City.

Frank was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1963. He went on to graduate from Peru State College in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was employed by the City of Falls City in the utility department, later working in security at Cooper Nuclear Station and then as a correctional officer at Tarkio, MO. They moved to Lincoln in 1994 and he worked at the York Penitentiary. They moved back to Falls City in 1997 and back to Lincoln following the death of his wife. In Lincoln, he worked various jobs before starting Reavis & Sons Painting. He went on to be a security officer at Millard South High School and retired in 2014 from the Lincoln Regional Center. He was actively involved as a mentor with the TeamMates Mentoring Program. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting.

Frank is survived by his children, Jeremy and his wife Rochelle of Lincoln, Frank Aaron and his wife Suzy of Gretna, NE, Justin of Lincoln, Christine Reavis of Lincoln, grandchildren, Jake, Emmeline, Logan, Makayla, Hailey, Justis and Bailee Reavis. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, Christopher and a brother, David.

His memorial service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM at The Life Church of Lincoln, 6810 P Street, Suite 300, Lincoln, NE, with Pastor Gene Alphin officiating.
