Helen Morehead Obituary

Helen Morehead, 95, Falls City, NE, passed away March 4, 2026 at Falls City. She was born June 21, 1930 at Falls City to Herman and Louise (Scheitel) Reschke

She married Marion W. Morehead on February 14, 1952 at Rulo. He passed away November 9, 2010.

Helen was raised at Arago and attended rural school and Falls City High School. Following her schooling, she was a nannie in the area for several different families until becoming married when she became a home maker and farm wife. She loved gardening, flowers and also raised chickens and sold eggs and cream. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Altar Society.

Helen is survived by her children, Bob and his wife Deb of Rulo, NE, Barb Vice of Falls City, sister-in-law, Colleen Morehead of Falls City, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Delphia Vice, brother, Richard Reschke and a son, Bill Morehead.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Ben Rynearson as the presiding priest and Father Jim Meysenburg concelebrating. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery.

A parish rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the rosary at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

Viewing will begin on Saturday afternoon at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
